1. Jeffrey Quill left the FlAF in 1936 to become Assistant Chief Test Pilot with Vickers Aviation Ltd. He became Chief Test Pilot in 1938 when he took charge of Spitfire development. During the Second World War he flew with No 65 Squadron.
2. Jeffrey Quill has also signed the Variety Cover honouring Fl.J. Mitchell in the Historic Aviator Series lHA1cl.
