Note
1. Wg Cdr Beamont flew during World War 2 with Nos B7, 79, 56 and 609 Squadrons operating Hurricanes, Typhoons and Tempests. He was shut down in 1944 and taken POW — following repatriation he served at the Central Fighter Establishment. After initial test flying with Gloster Aircraft and de Havillands he joined English Electric in 1947 where he undertook prototype testing of the Canberra and Lightning and finally the ill-fated TSR2.
2. Covers are known signed by one of the other pilots instead of Sqn. Ldr. Howe..
