TP1c Cover flown in B747 G-BDXH, Hunter XK 141 and Hawk XX 279. It is signed by Sir Thomas Sopwith (1190 numbered and certified)


Notes
1. Harry Hawker was born in Moorabbin, Australia. On learning to fly he was awarded RAeC Aviators Certificate No 297 in September 1912. Hawker became a well-known personality in aviation circles being awarded a special £1000 gift for his part in the 1913 Daily Mail "Round Brltain" race. During the First World War he was a Test Pilot for Sopwith Aviation and was killed on 12 July 1921 making a practice flight in a Newport Goshawk.
2. Sir Thomas Sopwith is the subiect of a separate Cover issued in the Historic Aviator Series (HA5).
