Notes
1. Flt Lt Lord flew three Arnhem missions. During the third, on 19 Sept 44 his Dakota was shot down. Lord and all his crew, except his Navigator who was miraculously thrown clear, were killed when the aircraft crashed. He was awarded the VC posthumously on 13 Nov 45.
2. HA 11c contains e photograph of Lord in his Dakot  while dropping supplies to Wingate in Burma.
3. Backstamp cancellers 27, 34, 35 and 36 were also used. Some Covers have been identified with an additional backstamp of the RAF Mus¤qm_
