HA4c Cover bearing a 9p definitive stamp. lt was flown on a special flight in Lancaster PA474 and ls signed by Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur T.Harris. (1250 numbered and certified, but see Note 4]

Notes 1. Both HA4a and b bear either a Blép regional definitive or the standard stamp. Equal quantities of Covers hearing any of the four stamps were issued.
2. Sir Arthur Harris was Officer Commanding No 50 Squadron in 1919 and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Bomber Command in 1942. In 1976 he celebrated 30 years as a Marshal of the Royal Air Force.
3. HA4c contains a phtograph of Sir Arthur Harris at Bomber Command Headquarters in 1942.
4. Copies of HA4c numbered 1194, 1213-6, 1226 and 1249 have been reported missing and were not issued. 1977
