1. Nlr. Fludd undertook the flight to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the First England to Australia Flight. lt was hoped that the Covers would be backstamped in almost every Country where a landing was made, but all postal authorities refused except on the understanding that the Cover would cease to be flown mail item from that stamping date. As this was unacceptable, the only backstamp is an arrival cachet in Adelaide, Australia.
2. Although 2000 Covers were issued, 1000 were sold in Australia and S0 were lost by the postal authorities. Thus only 920 were sold in the U.l<.
