FF 8b Cover bearing a 60pf Germany "Europa" commemorative stamp signed by either the Britannia Airlines 737 captain or first officer (3000, 1500 of each)
FF 8c Cover bearing a 60pf Germany (Berlin) "Fiinfarmiger Kandelaber" commemorative stamp cancelled "FRIEDFIICHSHAFEN 799 BO
23.-7.80 -18". It was flown on the Maiden Flight of Cameron D 96 Hot Air Airship 'Cimarron' on 7 Dec B0 and is signed by Adolf Fischer (1466 numbered and certified}


Notes
1. The original for the Cover was painted by Colin Ashford. .
2. During the production of this Cover, the opportunity was taken to fly 871 postcards depicting Luftschiff LZ3 which was the worId's first passenger air transport. They bear a 50pf Germany "Europa" commemorative stamp cancelled with the same cancellation as the Covers. The cards were flown with the Covers and are appropriately overprinted - they also bear the 1977 Zeppelin Museum Cachet. All are numbered and certified
3. Adolph Fischer worked on the LOF 6 engines of the L 129 "Hinden· burg" ioining the crew in 1936. He was a member of the crew for the Iasi flight in May 1937 and spent four months in hospital recovering fron· injuries suffered at Lakehurst. He flew a total of 470,000km by Airship
4. 351 of FF Sc have the slightly different cancellation "FRIEDRICH SHAFEN 7990 . . ." these were randomly distributed.
